Is there any whitening pills?

Well, I know the that there are skin whitening pills but i was wondering if they sell them in stores like Walgreen, Walmart, Shoprite, anywhere really. If so what kind of brand is the pill? If not, any advise on a way to get whiter skin? Yes, i know stay away from the sun, wear sunblock, Blah blah blah..
