Why Does My 1994 Honda Accord Keep Stalling?

Hello My Mom Bought this car for me and it wasn't starting when we bought it so we took it to a private license mechanic who put a timing belt and water pump on it. He also Did a transmission fluid change and oil change, he managed to get the car to start and it ran for about a day and then while I was at Walgreen's it just wouldn't start! So I called the mechanic and came and towed the car to his home and he is now saying that it is the Ignition switch. so could that be it? and is there anything else why it wont start up and keeps stalling when it does?
